About the Peace Library
The Library Committee of the St. Petersburg Friends Meeting has been trying to make the new Peace Library attractive, accessible, and community oriented. We want to offer Quaker related information including the history and community of the St. Petersburg Meeting. One element of this effort is our new Peacemakers Wall, a bulletin board dedicated to local activist peacemakers and their connection to Friends. So far we have placed on this wall the portrait of Anna France with an explanation of how she contributed to the St. Petersburg Monthly Meeting and racial justice in St. Petersburg. Future projects are planned for the history of Pro Nica, and other activist members of our meeting. If you have suggestions about what else you want on the wall and would like to help make a 8” x 10” framed commemorative piece, please text Lynn Carol Henderson, 727-867-3933.
The Peace Library is also accepting donation of books related to Quakers and Quaker concerns.
